Nissan Wants to Mass Market Electric Cars in 2012
Nissan is looking for a partner among America's Big Three.
In the meantime…Nissan's CEO Ghosn says his company wants to mass market electric-powered cars by 2012.
"2012 will be good date (to mass market the electric vehicles) for both Renault and Nissan," says Ghosn, also CEO of Renault.
Electric vehicles powered by rechargeable batteries are better in the city than fuel-cell cars or gasoline-electric hybrids says the man.
In the meantime – Nissan and Renault are considering developing a $3,000
ultra-cheap vehicle with Bajaj Auto. Ltd. in India to be launched in just 3 years.
