Come to think of it, they may be good reasons for CEOs to resign or be bounced in any country.

1. To take responsibility for employee misdeeds.

The head of Japan's public broadcaster NHK announced his resignation to take responsibility for staff allegedly involved in insider trading.

2. To take responsibility for the mislabeling of products at your company.

It was discovered the restaurant chain Senba Kitcho mislabeled the meat used in it's trademark dish as a well-known brand of beef, which actually wasn't the named brand. Eel and other dishes were also mislabeled.

3. To take responsibility for selling food products made with stale
   ingredients.

Fujiya Co. Ltd. President resigns after the company sold cream puffs and other pastries made with ingredients with expired "use by" dates.
