Sony cut the price on its PS3 and sales doubled.

In the week ending November 11th, Sony said it sold more than 100,000 consoles of all kinds.

With the holiday season approaching, the PS3 has become more competitive with Nintendo's Wii and Microsoft's Xbox 360.

Sony considers, "Finally, the turning point has been passed."

Nintendo cannot make the Wii consoles fast enough, and the PS3 is priced right.

Some 9.3 million Wiis have been bought, 11.6 million Xbox 360s and now 5 millionps3.sony.cut.jpg PS3s.

Sony also figures that the company will be ahead on the Blu-ray definition DVD format when its time comes.

And….Christmas and the year end shopping season is coming.

Do you want a PS3 for Christmas?
