Holiday Bowl – ASU vs UT – Nintendo Wins!

The Holiday Bowl in San Diego will give away the Nintendo Wii to ASU and UT players.

In the BSC Championship Game – OSU vs. LSU, it looks like Nintendo will be the winner there also.

The participants in the Rose Bowl, Illinois and USC, will receive a Sony Bravia home-theater system.

The Buckeyes and Tigers will receive a Nintendo Wii video-game system as will the players in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Penn State vs. TAMU.

NCAA guidelines dealing with amateurism state that a bowl can spend up to $500 per team member, allowing each school to also give merchandise worth up to $350 per player.

Japanese products win in other bowl games –

The Outback Bowl in Tampa, Fla., Wisconsin vs. Tennessee is giving a Sony digital camera.

The Sugar Bowl is giving the players from Hawaii and Georgia a Sony digital camcorder.

Looks to me like it are Japanese electronics makers, Sony and Nintendo that are cleaning up with the bowl games.

What would you like to get for $350?
