Japanese Company Promises Robot Version of ….You! – Mini-You

The only thing I can think of that is worse than one of me, is two or three or four of me…mini-sized, in doll form, robot form. Yeesh!

There’s a Japanese company, Little Island, that is promising it can make a robot version of you…as in you the reader.

Conversation piece? Or just a creepy ornament?

The little version of yourself can even be used as a VoIP phone to freak out family members when you’re away.

The little “robot” has few true robot abilities but it does have a built-in camera to let you check out its surroundings via a connected computer. It can also read your RSS feeds and check the weather…if you stick it’s head out your window.

It has 80Gb of space, 512Mb RAM and costs $2215 USDs for it.

It takes about six weeks to make once the company receives a photo.

It is still unknown what it can do to you while you are asleep. Any volunteers?
