Aya Sugimoto makes first public appearance post hospitalization

Japanese TV personality and actress Aya Sugimoto, this week appeared for the first time in public after she was hospitalized for acute appendicitis. The 43 year old actress seemed in her peak form at the launch of a jewellery line that she helped in designing.

Sugimoto unveiled her Bellesiora brand at Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi department store in Tokyo. The actress assured that she has recovered completely and that her power of recuperation surprised her.

While talking about her personal life the actress said that her husband, whom she married last year, takes good care of her and added that he has finally started appreciating her. When asked by a reporter how she manages her husband she joked that she uses 30% carrot and 70% stick.

Between the year 1988 and 1991, the actress also had a J-Pop career and released nine singles and six albums. The most recent album of Sugimoto was released it in the year 1995 Femme Fatale after which she got married to music producer Toshinori Numata.
